Construction of 38 roads in Siem Reap to begin late this month

Construction on the renovation of 38 roads in Siem Reap is set to begin on 23 September and is scheduled to be completed by late 2021.

This decision was made during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Tea Banh, MLMUPC Minister HE Chea Sophara, Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol, and other relevant officials on 09 September.

The inter-ministerial team has set the construction period for between 12 to 14 months.

On 08 September, Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen also set up a new inter-ministerial commission to oversee the project.

The 38 roads have a total length of over 98km and will cost approximately US$150 million, which was approved by Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen on 04 September. (Read more)
