Construction of Steung Treng Water Treatment Plant 90% Complete

The construction of the ADB-funded water treatment plant in Steung Treng Province is 90% complete and is scheduled to go online by the end of 2022.

Deputy Director of the Urban Water Supply Project Sorn Chanthy said on 09 June that the instalment of the main pipe is over 35% complete, while the team is speeding up the work.

He added the water will be supplied to the people in Steung Treng city first before connecting to other districts.

Located in Sangkat Preah Bat in Steung Treng City, this station is being built on an area of over 17,000 square metres with a height of 55 metres. Upon completion, it will be able to supply clean water to the whole Steung Treng province.
