Chroy Chongvar–Svay Chrom Bridge Still Under Study: No Completion Timeline Given

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) spokesman Vasim Sorya has confirmed that South Korean experts are still studying the design and choosing locations for the Chroy Changvar-Svay Chrom Bridge, but no completion timeframe has been given.

HE Vasim Sorya added that the estimated budget and the timeline of the construction for this project also has not been disclosed as the working group is still in the process of compiling data.

“They [South Korea] have their own project committee for this project. Now, they are in the stage of designing and choosing locations,” said HE Vasim Sorya.

Plan to construction the Chroy Changvar-Svay Chrom Bridge have been in the pipeline for years until the South Koreans agreed to provide financial assistance for this project in response to the request of PM Hun Sen in 2020. (Read more)
