Construction of MPWT laboratory ongoing, set for completion by March 2022

The construction of the new laboratory building of the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport funded by South Korea is proceeding smoothly and is scheduled for competition by March 2022.

This is according to the meeting between the Director of the Institute HE Hoeun Samneang and the representative of the funder Mr Song Jae Heon on December 28, 2021.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the report on the construction process, usage plan, space organization, and the plan for the installation of technical equipment.

The Korean side also plans to visit the laboratory two more times, one during the process of installing technical equipment in April 2022, and another during the test launching.

The laboratory is part of the Korean assistance for the innovative project to build and manage the road system in Cambodia with a total budget of US$3 million with an implementation period of 3 years.

The laboratory building has two floors and consists of different sectors including an asphalt test lab, concrete test lab, curing room, storage room, and administration office. (Read more)
