NR21B Section Rehabilitation Project in Kandal Province 95% Complete

The expansion and rehabilitation of the 3km section of NR21B connecting NR2 junction to Prek Samrong Bridge roundabout in Kandal province has been 95% completed.

HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport led officials to inspect the progress of the project on Wednesday 26 January.

The road has a total length of about 3 km from the junction of National Road No. 2 to the roundabout of Prek Samrong Bridge in Kandal province. The AC road is 11m in width.

With ground broken in December, the construction of this road is using high-tech equipment called Stabilizer, provided by Japan along with technical assistance experts. This will make the road quality even stronger and more durable but create less impact on the environment and the neighbourhood.

The actual NR21B has a total length of 12.33km connecting NR2 to NR1, but the 3km section is the crucial part for big trucks to detour the city centre. (Read more)
