Seven Japanese-Funded bridges in Prey Veng and Kratie Inaugurated

Seven bridges in Kratie and Prey Veng provinces worth US$35 million in grant aid from the Japanese government were officially inaugurated on Wednesday 16 February 2022.

The inauguration ceremony was held in Kratie province under the auspices of Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen and Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia HE Mikami Masahiro.

The seven bridges are emergency bridge reconstruction projects in flooded areas in Kratie and Prey Veng provinces, which have a total length of 670 metres and connecting roads of 3,424 metres.

Five bridges are located in Kratie province along NR73 and two bridges are in Prey Veng province along NR11.

Construction of the seven bridges began in June 2018 and was completed in December 2020. The bridges were built by Hazama Ando Corporation and technically inspected by CTI Engineering International Co., Ltd.
