Six Cambodian Experts Complete Capacity Building Course on Independent Power Project Evaluation

Six Cambodian trainees have successfully completed the capacity building certification of the Independent Power Generation Project Evaluation. This is according to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia on 24 May 2022.

According to JICA, the Certificate of Completion was handed over on 12 May 2022 at the General Department of Energy of the Ministry of Mines and Energy in the presence of HE Heng Kunleang, Director General of the General Department of Energy, and Ms. Miyahara Ai, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Cambodia, as well as Japanese experts from Chugoku Power Company.

It should be noted that the six Cambodian trainees who successfully completed this training are from the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Electricity Authority of Cambodia.

This training was conducted by a Japanese expert and aims to contribute to improving the stability of the energy supply in Cambodia by improving the IPP project evaluation capacity of officials at the Ministry of Mines and Energy and other relevant institutions involved in project evaluation.
