Techo Sen Institute, Chang’an University Enter Public Works Cooperation

The Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s Chang’an University to enhance the quality of education in line with market needs and to provide technical assistance for road construction and infrastructure to students.

The MoU signing ceremony was held on 15 June and witnessed by HE Ms Im Nithara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and Chang’an University’s relevant officials, representatives of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) in Cambodia, and relevant officials.

HE Ms Im Nithara said that the MoU is one of the most important elements contributing to the effective building of human resources between Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport and Chang’an University to ensure the quality of education in line with market needs and to provide technical assistance to students to expand employment opportunities, skills, knowledge, and mutual benefits between the two parties.

Fan Wen, Vice-dean of Chang’an University, said that he firmly believed that with the support of CRBC, the establishment of a joint curriculum between the two institutes will run smoothly and it is important for supporting the development of the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport, Chang’an University and CRBC, as well as to strengthen the ties between China and Cambodia.

Mr Zhou Yong, General Manager of CRBC Cambodia, said that CRBC is committed to enhancing the cooperation between China and Cambodia on infrastructure construction and actively participates in the further development of infrastructure, education, and sectors, public works, and transportation in Cambodia.

HE Sun Chanthol also requested the Japanese ambassador to consider the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between Japanese faculties or universities with the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport to train more Cambodian engineers and technicians to contribute to building more infrastructure.
