Cambodia Preparing Comprehensive Intermodal Transportation Master Plan for 2022-2030

Cambodia is developing a comprehensive master plan for an intermodal transportation system to better develop Cambodia’s transport sector for connectivity to countries in the region and the world.

Compiled by the Supreme National Economic Council, the comprehensive master plan on intermodal transportation 2022-2030 was discussed at a meeting on 21 July in the presence of Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport.

The preparation of the 2022-2030 intermodal transportation master plan comes at a time when the Ministry of Public Works and Transport is drafting the master plan for the connection of multimodal transport and logistics.

HE Senior Minister briefed on the efforts of the ministry in cooperation with YCH on the Phnom Penh logistics center development study project, the Sihanoukville logistics center development study project, the Tonle Bassac navigation development study project, and the high-speed rail modernization study project, the Phnom Penh-Bavet expressway project, and construction of the Kampong Thom-Kampong Chhnang, Battambang-Siem Reap Expressway, as part of the effective logistics system.
