43km Road Connecting Prey Nup to Sihanoukville Officially Inaugurated

The Cambodian government has officially inaugurated the new 43km road connecting Prey Nup district to Sihanoukville which has been built and renovated under the national budget of about US$76 million. 

The official inauguration ceremony was held under the presidency of Cambodia Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen on 22 December. 

The road is divided into two sections. One is called 146B or Samdech Preah Sangha Reach Tep Vong Road connecting from the intersection of NR4 at km 178 + 165 in Veal Thom village of Prey Nob to Stung Hav roundabout in Village 1. 

The other line is called 148 road or Samdech Techo Hun Sen coastal road from Stung Hav roundabout to the intersection of NR4 at km 225 + 550 or the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port Sihanouk. 

The construction of the roads began in April 2020 and was completed in August 2022. The project was built by China Bridge and Road Corporation (CRBC) and technically inspected by the technical working group of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (Read more)

The two roads are potentially interconnected routes, connecting from downtown to the suburbs to tourist areas and natural beaches, as well as connecting NR4 to the Phnom Penh-Sihanouk Expressway and all 37 roads in Sihanoukville.
