The modern and biggest, Techo Aphivadh Building at Calmette Hospital set to open in May 2023

The largest and most modern hospital in Phnom Penh, the Techo Aphivadh of Calmette Hospital, is nearly complete and expected to open in May 2023. The 12-story multi-speciality centre has more than 42,000 square meters total and can accommodate up to 328 beds.

According to HE Professor Mam Bun Heng, Minister of Health, the construction work on the building is more than 98% complete. During a progress visit on March 28, 2023, the Minister of Health announced that the Ministry plans to inaugurate the Techo Aphivadh building by the end of May.

The Techo Aphivadh building is expected to provide state-of-the-art medical care, including emergency and critical care, surgery, and a range of other specialty services. The building is part of the Cambodian government’s efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure and services across the country.

The construction project of the Techo Aphivadh building in Calmette Hospital was ground opening on 8 March 2018, under the presidency of HE Professor Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health. The new hospital is expected to serve the growing healthcare needs of Cambodia’s population and help improve the country’s medical care quality. (Read more)
