“Koh ToToeng” &”Koh Muy” to be developed as a new tourist destination worth nearly US$38m

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted approval for two investment projects worth a total of $37.7 million to develop two islands, “Koh Totoeng” in Koh Kong province and “Koh Muy” in Sihanoukville province as new tourist destinations.

According to the Cambodian Investment Committee publication released on 13 April 2023, “DEN NOKOR (CAMBODIA) INVESTMENT CO., LTD” and “G.T.V.C IMPORT EXPORT CO., LTD” will invest $30 million and $7.7 million, respectively, in the development of tourist resorts and other related activities.

Koh Totoeng, which is located in Koh Sdach village, Koh Sdach commune, Kirisakor district, Koh Kong province, will be developed into a tourist resort by DEN NOKOR (CAMBODIA) INVESTMENT CO., LTD. Meanwhile, G.T.V.C IMPORT EXPORT CO., LTD will develop Koh Muy, located in Sangkat Koh Rong Samloem, Koh Rong City, Sihanoukville Province.

The CDC stated that this investment will create 191 new job opportunities for Cambodians. The development of these new tourist destinations is expected to boost the country’s tourism industry and economic growth.

This investment is a step forward in the country’s tourism industry and is expected to attract more tourists, leading to further economic development in Cambodia.
