Cambodia Attracts US$ 54.8M Investment with Establishment of Nine New Factories in Six Provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted registration certificates to nine prominent companies for the establishment of large-scale factories. With a combined investment of US$ 54.8 million, these ventures are expected to generate approximately 13,849 job opportunities for local residents across six provinces and cities in Cambodia. The CDC’s announcement on 26 June 2023 highlights the nation’s commitment to fostering economic growth and attracting foreign direct investment.

The first firm is “KITCHEN BRIGHTS (CAMBODIA) INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD” which will invest US$9.7 million to establish a kitchen equipment factory located in Banlea Set village, Roleang Chek commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.

The second firm is “LINGRICH BICYCLE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.” which will invest US$7.2 million to establish a factory to produce bicycles, electric bicycles, bicycle components, and all kinds of bicycle parts, located in the investment zone of Tai Seng Bavet Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng province,

The third firm is “LATIDO ELECTRICAL CO., LTD.” which will invest US$6.2 million to establish a factory to produce all kinds of electrical appliances and electrical equipment, located in the investment zone in Hai-Park Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng province.

The fourth firm is “FRESH SOURCE INTERNATIONAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD” which will invest US$6 million to establish a factory to produce all kinds of light bulbs, which is located on National Road 3, Champol village, Popel commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province.

The fifth firm is “YANGJIE OUTDOOR MANUFACTURING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD” which will invest US$5.2 million to establish a factory to produce all kinds of bags, located in the old village, Pich Mony commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.

The sixth firm is “X J X INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD” which will invest US$5.2 million to establish a factory to produce accessories, clothes, shoes, and bags, located in Ang Sokunthea village, Maha Russey commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.

The seventh firm is “CAMBODIAN XIN HUANG MING GARMENT CO., LTD” which will invest US$5.1 million to establish a garment factory located at Cana City Industrial Park, Veng Sreng Street, Trapeang Thleung 2 Village, Sangkat Choam Chao I, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.

The eighth firm is “L&G PACKAGING MATERIALS CO., LTD” which will invest US$5.1 million to establish a factory to produce paper mats (clothes-shoes-bags), mackerel paper and packaging paper, located in Prey Beong village, Bek Chan commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province.

The ninth firm is “OPTIMA GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD” which will invest US$5.1 million to establish a garment factory located on National Road 2, Khleang Sambath Village, Pot Sor Commune, Bati District, Takeo Province.

This remarkable influx of investments will not only spur economic growth but also contribute to job creation and the development of local communities. The CDC’s commitment to facilitating the establishment of these factories reflects the government’s dedication to enhancing Cambodia’s industrial landscape and attracting further foreign investment.
