Gov’t Greenlights Seven Cutting-Edge Factories Injecting US$ 32.9M and 3,470 Jobs in Svay Rieng & SHV

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has sanctioned the registration of seven innovative companies set to establish factories with a combined investment of US$32.9 million. This strategic initiative is poised to generate a robust employment boost, creating 3,470 job opportunities for the local workforce in Svay Rieng and Sihanoukville, according to the publication of the CDC on 30 November 2023.

The roster of visionary companies and their respective investments includes:

  1. Justmarvelous Co., Ltd.: An investment of US$8.2 million will erect a textile factory within the Cambodian Special Economic Zone in Sihanoukville, promising the creation of 326 jobs.
  2. Vacation Industry Co., Ltd.: With an investment of US$7.3 million, this company is set to establish a factory producing various bags, strategically located in the Manhattan Svay Rieng Special Economic Zone. This venture is anticipated to generate 1,245 job opportunities.
  3. Star United Christmas Decoration Co., Ltd.: Investing US$6 million, this company is venturing into the production of Christmas trees and decorations. The factory, located in the Svay Rieng Gigarris Special Economic Zone, is expected to employ 536 individuals.
  4. CH Lighting Tree Co., Ltd.: Allocating US$5.8 million, this company is gearing up to set up a factory producing Christmas trees, lights, decoration materials, and souvenirs. The factory, situated in the Hai-Park Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng province, aims to create 500 jobs.
  5. Kamelun Wood Co., Ltd.: A US$3 million investment will facilitate the establishment of a factory producing plywood, wood decorations, and various furniture. The factory will be situated in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, contributing to the creation of 213 jobs.
  6. Angel Wood (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.: Investing US$1.4 million, this company is embarking on the creation of a wood products factory, focusing on parquet, plywood, and other boards. The factory, located in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, is set to generate 320 jobs.
  7. Glorious Building Material (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.: With an investment of US$1.2 million, this company is establishing a factory dedicated to the production of door frames, window frames, and wooden frames. The factory, located in the Tai Seng Bavet Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng province, anticipates the creation of 330 jobs.
