National Road 31 Rehabilitation Project Reaches 100% Completion

November 28, 2024 – The rehabilitation and upgrade of National Road 31, stretching over 53 kilometres, has officially been completed, achieving a significant milestone of 100 percent completion.

This announcement was made during a progress inspection led by HE Khan Maner, Secretary of State and Project Director, alongside a dedicated team of technicians from the China Construction Bridge and Road Corporation (CRBC) and representatives from Guangzhou Wan An Technical Consulting Company.

HE Khan Maner confirmed that National Road 31, which runs from Bek Kous—at the intersection with National Road 3—to Kampong Trach district town, linking up with National Road 33, is now fully completed.

To ensure the road meets the highest standards, it will be temporarily opened for public use within a year. This period will allow for ongoing inspections and evaluations of its quality before its official acceptance from the constructing company CRBC.

The President emphasized the importance of completing outstanding tasks, such as installing traffic signs and road markings. He urged the construction team to rigorously follow technical standards and ensure clear road signage.

In response, the construction company committed to accelerating the remaining tasks to guarantee that everything is ready for the upcoming Sea Festival, enhancing travel and transport for citizens.

The project to restore and upgrade National Road 31 was inaugurated on December 30, 2022, and its completion marks a significant development in the region’s infrastructure. (Read more)
