Cambodia’s Tourism Ticket Revenue Exceeds USD 7 Million in January 2025

Cambodia’s tourism sector experienced a significant boost in January 2025, generating over USD 7 million from ticket sales to various attractions. The total revenue from these sales reached an impressive USD 7,097,602, reflecting the growing appeal of the country’s cultural and natural wonders.

According to a report released by the Angkor Foundation on February 1, 2025, a remarkable 146,140 foreign tourists purchased tickets to visit the iconic Angkor Wat, contributing USD 6,903,380 to the overall revenue. This represents a substantial 25.56% increase compared to the same period in 2024, underscoring the rising popularity of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Beyond Angkor Wat, the Angkor Foundation earned an additional USD 194,222 from ticket sales to other attractions, including Koh Ker Temple, Beng Mealea Temple, Phnom Kbal Spean, and boat rides.

To enhance the visitor experience, Angkor Enterprise has recently launched an official online ticketing and inspection system for Angkor Wat. This initiative aims to facilitate the experience for international tourists and attract more visitors from across the globe. (Read more)

In a further effort to make travel to Cambodia more appealing, the Cambodian government has announced a significant decision to offer discounts on eVisa services for all international travelers.
