In 2025, Cambodia’s tourism industry experienced a significant boost, attracting 47 distinct investment projects with a combined capital value exceeding $710 million. These figures were presented by His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, during the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2026. Held on March 4, 2026, the summit was organized by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce under the theme ASEAN Transformation: Innovation, Integration, and Industrial Evolution.

During his address, Minister Huot Hak emphasized the favorable investment landscape within the sector, describing it as a vibrant and emerging market. He highlighted a notable shift in tourism trends, specifically the increasing arrival of international guests who prefer extended stays and demonstrate higher spending power.
