AEON3 has Fourth Largest Solar Roof Compared to All Malls in Japan

Aeon Mall Meanchey or Aeon Mall 3 of Aeon (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. has installed 1.9 MW of solar panels on the roof, or equivalent to an 8,848.21 sqm of the roof. This solar panel is the fourth largest solar roof panel compared to all the malls in Japan, according to a press release dated 2 January. 

The newly installed solar panels have been generating power to the national grid since 2 January. This helps reduce electricity consumption and help solve power shortages due to increasing demand for electricity.  

Aeon (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. has successfully installed solar panels in all three of its malls in Cambodia, aiming to use renewable energy to reduce CO2 emissions. 

 Aeon Mall 3 opened on 15 December 2022, after construction for several years with a cost of about US$290 million. (Read more)
