ARK Electronics Group Announces USD1.3 Billion Investment to establish a 1000ha industrial park in Kampong Speu

In a significant move for Cambodia’s industrial landscape, ARK Electronics Group, a Chinese company, has unveiled plans for a massive investment exceeding USD 1.3 billion to establish a sprawling 1,000-hectare industrial park in Kampong Speu province.

During a recent meeting between HE Dr. Cheam Chansophoan, Governor of Kampong Speu Province, and Ms. Chang Venza, General Director of ARK Electronics, the two discussed the promising potential of Kampong Speu as an ideal investment destination. Ms. Chang emphasized the province’s suitability for business expansion, particularly as a strategic location for companies operating throughout Cambodia, Southeast Asia, and beyond.

The proposed industrial park aims to focus on processing agricultural products that highlight the identity and branding of Cambodian goods. Additionally, it will include facilities for electronics manufacturing and semi-finished chip production, effectively meeting the real demands of the supply chain originating from China. The ambitious project is slated to encompass 14 industrial parks within the 1,000-hectare area, with an expected workforce of over 3,000 employees.

Governor Cheam Chansophoan expressed confidence in choosing Kampong Speu for this investment, pointing out the immense potential for job creation that the new industrial park promises for local residents and those in surrounding provinces.

Notably, the industrial park will incorporate cutting-edge AI and industrial technology, boasting what is described as a 360° Service System. This innovation signifies a leap forward in modernizing Cambodia’s industrial sector. Furthermore, ARK Electronics has pledged to assist Kampong Speu in developing a master plan to transform the province into a destination on par with renowned tech hubs such as Shenzhen and Zhongguancun in China.

With this investment, ARK Electronics Group aims to foster economic growth and contribute to the long-term development of Kampong Speu, positioning it as a vital player in Cambodia’s industrial future.
