Bentley Acquires Talon Aerolytics, and Pointivo Technology for Asset Analytics Leadership

Infrastructure engineering software company Bentley Systems has announced the acquisition of Talon Aerolytics and the technology of Pointivo. The strategic moves significantly expand Bentley’s Asset Analytics portfolio, reinforcing its capabilities in leveraging digital twins and AI to optimize infrastructure performance.

The newly integrated software solutions specifically target telecommunications and electric utilities, driving global 5G deployment and grid modernization. Through Talon’s platform, users gain access to workflow automation and AI-enabled site surveys that streamline recurring inspections and provide real-time insights into asset conditions. Complementing this, Pointivo’s technology introduces advanced drone data processing, precise geolocation, and AI-powered damage detection.

By combining these technologies into its existing Bentley Asset Analytics platform—which includes OpenTower iQ and Blyncsy—Bentley enables continuous, automated inspections. The primary benefits for infrastructure owner-operators include drastically improved operational performance, faster issue detection, and highly cost-effective maintenance at scale.

This consolidation positions Bentley to meet the surging global demand for smarter, more resilient utility and telecom networks.
