Cambodia-Japan Friendship Park Agreed for Phnom Penh

The Cambodia-Japan Friendship Park is planned to be built in Phnom Penh to commemorate the strong relationship between Cambodia and Japan.

The park establishment was raised by President of the Japan-Cambodia Association Mr Takahashi Fumaiki during the meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on 2 February.

Mr Fumaiki said that Japan will donate a plot of land in Phnom Penh to Samdech Hun Sen to be used as a public park.

PM Hun Sen welcomed and supported the establishment of the park, naming it the Cambodia-Japan Friendship Park.

Samdech Hun Sen also ordered Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia HE Sok Chenda Sophea to facilitate the project along with the Phnom Penh Capital Administration.
