Cambodia-japan Inaugurate 8 New School Buildings in Phnom Penh

Representatives from the Cambodian and Japanese governments together on 26 April 2019 witnessed the inauguration of 8 new school buildings in Phnom Penh, which were built using the grant from the government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Presided over by Phnom Penh Governor H.E Khoung Sreng, and H.E Hidehisa Horinouchi, Japan Ambassador to Cambodia, this event was held at Prek Leap High School in Prek Leap commune, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.

According to a Facebook post from Phnom Penh City Hall, the inauguration was for 8 school buildings with 157 classrooms as part of the secondary school expansion in Phnom Penh.

The eight buildings are: 1) Hun Sen Borey 100 High School with 5 floors and 20 classrooms, 2) Chamroeun Phal Secondary High School with 4 floors and 24 classrooms, 3) Hun Sen Pichin Tong Secondary School with 3 floors and 12 classrooms, 4) Russei Keo High School with 3 floors and 24 classrooms, 5) Prek Leap High School with 3 floors and 21 classrooms, 6) Teuk Laak Secondary School with 4 floors and 20 classrooms, 7) Ou Bek Khaom Secondary School with 3 floors and 12 classrooms, and 8) Hun Sen Chumpouvorn High School with 3 floors and 24 classrooms.
