Cambodia to Have First International Racetrack Worth Approx. €26 million

Maritime Group has signed an agreement with PHG International, who won the bid to build Cambodia’s first international racetrack worth approximately €26 million.

According to Fresh News on 28 October 2021, this racetrack is the first one in Cambodia recognised by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) and is 100% invested in by the Maritime Group.

The project will be built on 160 hectares of land, with the exact location yet to be disclosed. However, location will be somewhere along the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville expressway, only about 70 kilometres from Phnom Penh.

Oknha Heng Sethy, owner of Maritime Group, the project includes construction of a Formula 3 racetrack, motorsports facilities, shopping outlets and international resorts, which is expected to begin by the end of 2022.
