CDC Approves Six New Investment Projects Worth US$66 Million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given permits to private firms to invest approximately US$66 million to build five factories and one shopping mall in Phnom Penh, Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Sihanoukville.

According to the CDC announcement on 17 February, the six companies are:

1- MEKO INTELLIGENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD investing US$32 million to establish an electronic parts factory in Khvav commune, Samrong district, Takeo province.

2. KHALANDALE CO., LTD investing US$10 million in a shopping mall in Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.

3- K (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD investing US$7.3 million to establish an ISUZU car assembly plant in Trapeang Kong commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.

4. B.E.C.I.S (CAMBODIA) Co investing US$6.5 million to set up steam power factory to supply a beverage plant in Phnom Penh’s Prek Eng commune.

5. CAMBODIAN PAW SHIELD CO., LTD investing US$5.5 million to establish a pet food factory in Teuk Thla Commune, Prey Nob District, Preah Sihanouk Province.

6. X.Y.H. (CAMBODIA) GARMENT CO., LTD investing US$5.4 million to establish a garment factory in Tang Krouch commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.

In the first month of 2022, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved a total of 25 investment projects worth over US$2.5 billion. Among these, projects related to construction and real estate accounted for approximately US$1.4 billion.
