Chinese Company Guoxing vows to invest in industrial parks and agriculture in Cambodia

Guoxing Group, based in China, has expressed its commitment to establishing an industrial park in Cambodia and is exploring investment opportunities in agriculture, particularly in the production of natural fertilizers.

This announcement came during a meeting between His Excellency Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and Mr. Li Guolian, President of Guoxing Group, on the afternoon of November 6, 2024, in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting, Mr. Li shared that several Chinese companies have visited Cambodia four times under the coordination of Guoxing Group to explore potential investment opportunities. The group is dedicated to investing in industrial parks and establishing additional factories in Cambodia.

Mr. Li also provided an overview of Guoxing’s previous investment activities in Cambodia. He outlined the company’s plans to expand further its investments over the next five years, including establishing an industrial park.

Additionally, Guoxing Group aims to invest in agriculture, focusing on organic fertilizer production. This initiative is intended to improve soil quality and enhance agricultural productivity in Cambodia.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the company’s plans for further investment, highlighting the importance of having more companies integrated into the production chain in Cambodia to reduce reliance on imported raw materials.

PM also emphasized that the Government of Cambodia has implemented several policies to support and encourage investment in domestic production for both local supply and export.
