Chinese Guoxing Group Commits to Major Investments in Cambodia’s Industrial & Agricultural Sectors

Guoxing Group, a prominent Chinese conglomerate, has reaffirmed its commitment to establishing a major industrial park in Cambodia and is actively exploring agricultural investment, particularly in the production of organic fertilisers.

This announcement followed a strategic meeting between Samdech Hun Manet, PM of Cambodia, and Mr. Li Guolian, President of Guoxing Group, on 6 November 2024 in Kunming, Yunnan province, China.

During this high-level meeting, Mr. Li revealed that Guoxing Group has coordinated four delegations of Chinese companies to Cambodia to assess various investment prospects.

The company is setting ambitious plans to expand its footprint in Cambodia over the next five years, focusing on industrial park development and additional factory establishments.

Additionally, Guoxing aims to invest in agriculture through organic fertiliser production, a move designed to improve soil health and boost agricultural productivity across the region.

PM Hun Manet expressed strong support for these investment plans, underscoring the value of integrating more companies into Cambodia’s production chain to decrease reliance on imported raw materials. He noted that the Cambodian government has introduced policies to facilitate investment in domestic production, both to supply the local market and for export.
