Kampong Speu Attracts Chinese Investors for Priority Industries

Kampong Speu Province has caught the attention of Chinese investors from Henan Province who are actively studying the region for potential investment opportunities in three key sectors: industry, agro-industry, and agriculture. HE Vy Samnang, Governor of Kampong Speu Province, made this announcement on June 28, 2023, highlighting the growing interest from Chinese investors in the province.

The presence of these working groups conducting in-depth studies indicates the potential for future growth in Kampong Speu’s industrial landscape, as well as advancements in agricultural cultivation and animal husbandry. As a result, the province anticipates the establishment of new factories, enterprises, and agricultural initiatives that will contribute to its economic development.

This positive development follows HE Governor’s visit to various companies in Hong Kong last April, during which he confirmed that a minimum of 10 Hong Kong-based companies are poised to commence operations in Kampong Speu in the near future. The influx of these companies is expected to generate over 10,000 employment opportunities, further bolstering the local economy. (Read more)
