Chinese Investors from 21 Enterprises Explore Investment Opportunities in Cambodia

Chinese investors representing 21 enterprises recently visited Cambodia to investigate potential investment opportunities aimed at boosting the country’s economic growth. This visit followed a discussion on November 17, 2025, between HE Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the investors.

During the meeting, HE Hean Sahib emphasized that the government has launched the “Special Program to Promote Investment in Preah Sihanouk Province 2024” and the “Special Program to Promote Investment in the Northeast Region,” both of which fall under the Economic Policy Committee’s initiatives.

He pointed out that these programs are designed to encourage investment by offering additional incentives for specific projects. Preah Sihanouk Province, with its strong potential in tourism, industry, logistics, real estate, and trade, is a key focus area. Meanwhile, the Northeast Region shows promise in agriculture, agro-industry, and tourism sectors.

The representatives of the Chinese investment group expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Economy for providing insights into Cambodia’s investment potential. They demonstrated a keen interest in the growth and development of cities, especially Phnom Penh, and inquired about tax policies, tax rates, and tourism connections across all 25 provincial capitals. Notably, the Chinese investors come from diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, restaurants, beverages, media, and construction materials and equipment.
