Three Provinces Celebrate Pchum Ben with Big Investment Gifts

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to three prominent companies to establish manufacturing plants with a total investment of US$12.8 million. This strategic move is expected to generate over 2,200 jobs, benefiting local communities in Svay Rieng, Banteay Meanchey, and Sihanoukville provinces.

The trio of enterprises slated to make a mark on Cambodia’s industrial sector include:

  1. JUHAI BAOSHUN (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: This company plans to invest US$5.2 million in setting up a state-of-the-art sock factory within the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone in Sihanoukville province. This venture promises to create 804 employment opportunities.
  2. HOME TERRACE CO., LTD: With a substantial investment of US$5 million, Home Terrace is all set to establish an outdoor furniture manufacturing plant. The factory, based in the Svay Rieng Gigarris Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng province, will craft an array of outdoor furniture, including tables, chairs, tents, hammocks, curtains, trolleys, and umbrellas. This initiative is expected to generate 686 jobs, offering a significant employment boost to the local workforce.
  3. TECHNOPARK POI PET PVT CO., LTD: Investing US$2.6 million, this forward-looking firm is gearing up to create an auto parts assembly plant. Situated within the San Ko Poipet Special Economic Zone in Banteay Meanchey province, this project is set to provide job opportunities for 793 individuals, contributing to economic growth in the province.

The CDC’s commitment to encouraging these ventures ensures that local communities reap the benefits of increased economic opportunities and international cooperation.
