New Rehabilitation Center in Poipet Nears Completion, Aiding Victims of Human Trafficking

The New Rehabilitation Center in Poipet, valued at US$2.3 million, is now over 55% complete, with the remaining work scheduled to finish in August 2023. A recent site visit conducted by HE Nhek Vannara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, confirmed the progress.

The center aims to aid the victims of human trafficking, providing them with hope and a new start in life through various training skills. Once completed, the center will offer specialized programs and therapies to help victims recover from the physical and emotional trauma of trafficking.

The construction of the New Rehabilitation Center in Poipet reflects the government’s commitment to addressing human trafficking issues and supporting vulnerable populations.
