Construction of Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway 26% complete

As of the end of September, the construction of Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway was 26% complete, while the whole project is set to finish by 2023.

Ministry of Public Works and Transport spokesman Heang Sotheayuth told National Radio of Cambodia on 09 October that the construction of this way expressway is over 26% complete, and the construction company is dividing its force into five teams to work on each section of the road.

As of August, the impact resettlement for this project, including land clearing and compensation, was almost finalised (Read more)

This project is the first-ever expressway being constructed in Cambodia with an investment of US$2 billion, developed by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC). Scheduled to open by March 2023, the expressway is divided into four lanes with a total length of 190 kilometres across five cities and provinces. (Read more)
