Construction of Ring Road 3 to be Completed 12 Months Slower than Schedule

The construction company building Ring Road 3 has requested to finish the project one year slower than the initial schedule due to the delay in the impact resettlement procedure.

Initially, the project was scheduled for completion by September 2022. With the one-year delay, the new completion date will be September 2023.

HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport confirmed the new project timeline at the meeting to review the results of road safety work in 2021 on Wednesday 9 February.

“The construction company has asked for a one-year delay in construction due to delays in dealing with compensation. Technically, we agreed to their request,” said HE Sun Chanthol.

According to a report from the ministry, the construction of Ring Road 3 was 66% complete as of January 2022.
