Construction of Third Ring Road 80% Completed by October

The construction of the US$267-million third ring road was about 77% complete as of October, while the construction of the bridge across the Bassac River has been 88% completed, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The progress of the construction of the third ring road was presented by HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, at a press conference at the Government Spokesman’s Unit held on 27 October.

The construction of the third ring road project​ began on 14 January 2019, built by Shanghai Construction Group Co., Ltd at a cost of US$267 million, under concessional financing from China and a contribution fund from the Royal Government of Cambodia to deal with the impact of demining.

The third ring road has a total length of 52 km, is 22 meters wide, and with 4 lanes, which connect NR6 to NR1 passing through NR 5, 4, 3, and 2. (Read more)
