CVEA Plans Opening of Property Training Centre

The Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) is seeking commitment from investors for a new property training centre, a school to generate more highly trained human resources for the property and construction related sectors.

Dr. Kim Heang, president of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association and CEO of Khmer Real Estate Co., Ltd. recently revealed the plan and expressed his determination to open the centre within this year.

According to Dr Heang, approximately about USD 200,000 is needed for the project.

“At this stage, about 20 companies have joined and invested with us. However, we are still looking for more. After we are done preparing everything, we will send the request to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and Ministry of Economy and Finance as soon as possible,” said Dr Heang.

“The objective of this school is not only for benefit. We want to strengthen and improve the human resources in the construction and property sectors. Those who graduate from our training centre will have the qualified knowledge and ability to work in the property field,” he added.

The CVEA at this stage has yet to reveal the details of the curriculum or the enrolment fees for the planned institution.
