10 new projects worth more than US$ 60M to be established in 4 provinces in Cambodia

Within 15 days, the Council for the Development of Cambodia has recently granted certificates for the registration of 10 pioneering investment projects, collectively valued at over US$60 million. This transformative wave is anticipated to yield 12,695 employment opportunities, underscoring Cambodia’s commitment to robust economic growth, according to CDC’s Press release on 17 January 2024.

Kampong Speu province emerges as a focal point, welcoming five significant investment ventures. Among these, three garment factories, a manufacturing unit for clothing accessories, bags, and shoes, and a production facility for plastic products—including ice buckets, regular buckets, heat sinks, and kayaks—will be strategically established in Chbamon, Samrong Tong, and Kong Pisey districts.

Phnom Penh, the thriving capital, is set to witness two major projects taking shape. A cutting-edge garment factory in Dangkor district and a state-of-the-art shoe manufacturing facility in Por Sen Chey district are poised to contribute significantly to the city’s industrial landscape.

Simultaneously, Takeo province embraces two impactful investment initiatives. Samrong district will host an avant-garde electronics factory, while Tram Kak gears up for a comprehensive production unit specializing in various types of lamps and spare parts.

Kandal province, showcasing its economic prowess, secures a pivotal garment factory investment in Saang district, amplifying the province’s stature in Cambodia’s economic resurgence.
