500 Startups Invests in Cambodian Local Real Estate Portal

A US-based venture capital firm known as 500 Startups has recently invested hundreds of thousands of dollars of seed capital in a Cambodian local property management system portal known as KhmerHome.com, according to Deal Street Asia.

Founded in 2017, KhmerHome.com is an online platform owned by Mekong Classifieds which offers a localised real estate management system and in particular a new property valuation mobile application. Their database currently lists more than 120 property agencies and 600 property agents.

According to KhmerHome.com co-founder and CEO In Mean, the funding from 500 Startups will be used to upgrade the current product and especially the mobile application to make it even better for all users.

This is the second time 500 Startups has provided funding in Cambodia. 500 Startups is a venture capital firm on a mission to discover and back the world’s most talented entrepreneurs, help them create successful companies at scale, and build thriving global ecosystems.

The firm has so far invested in over 2,000 companies through 4 global funds and 14 country microfunds.
