New East Solar Energy: From Cambodia Brand to the USA, Lighting Up a Brighter Clean Technology Future

New East Solar Energy, a prominent player in the solar industry based in Cambodia, is expanding its horizons across the globe. The company is set to inaugurate a colossal 2-gigawatt (2 million kilowatts) solar panel manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona, contributing to the creation of 350 jobs. This groundbreaking development, reported by Solar Power World on 7 September 2023, marks a significant step in the company’s journey towards international prominence.

This ambitious project will substantially boost the company’s total production capacity to an impressive 6.7 gigawatts, encompassing operational plants in Cambodia, Indonesia, and now, the United States. The location for the new facility has been earmarked, with preparations underway for the installation of key equipment.

New East Solar Energy’s strategic vision extends to supplying solar panels to a diverse range of customers, from individual homeowners to large-scale enterprises, residing in the United States. Production at this state-of-the-art facility is slated to commence in the second quarter of 2024.

Bill Huang, the company’s CEO, expressed his enthusiasm about this investment, stating, “With this new venture, we are proud to contribute to the U.S. economy by generating 350 employment opportunities, aligning with recent U.S. legislation aimed at job creation and inflation reduction.”

He further emphasised the company’s readiness for this expansion, saying, “Our successful experience in Indonesia, where operations have thrived for just six months, positions us well to execute this endeavour efficiently in the United States.”

It’s worth noting that this U.S.-based project is strategically shielded from import-related concerns, highlighting the company’s commitment to its mission and the local economy.

New East Solar Energy’s expansion represents a significant stride towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future, illuminating homes and businesses not only in Cambodia but also across the United States.
