Prime Minister Hun Manet Meets with US-ABC Delegation to Discuss Opportunities in Digital Tech, Healthcare, and Smart Cities

A high-level delegation of major American companies has expressed a strong desire to seek new and expand existing investment opportunities across various high-potential sectors in Cambodia. This interest was conveyed during a discussion between Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, and the delegation, which was led by His Excellency Ted Osius, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC), on December 2, 2025.

During the meeting, representatives from several investing companies within the US delegation indicated their intention to both expand current capital and scout for new ventures in numerous priority fields. These potential areas of investment are broad, encompassing healthcare, tourism and hotel services, digital technology, banking and finance, infrastructure, smart cities, automotive, and insurance, among others.

The investors also highlighted the excellent cooperation their companies have received in Cambodia historically and are committed to continuing their support and actively promoting further US investment into the country. This pledge is aimed at contributing significantly to Cambodia’s economic growth and development.

Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed and expressed his gratitude for the American companies’ renewed interest in injecting additional investment capital into Cambodia. The Prime Minister outlined several measures that the Royal Government has introduced to improve the investment environment, including a new investment law and the establishment of special mechanisms designed to streamline foreign investment.

Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the American firms to consider vocational and human resource training in the digital technology sector, given the high priority Cambodia is placing on developing its digital economy.

In recent years, the US-ABC has also expressed interest and led a business delegation to visit Cambodia for talks. (Read more)
