Australia’s Plus94 Fund Explores Investment in Business Support Centre in Cambodia

In a move indicative of expanding global business interests, Australia’s Plus94 Fund is contemplating an investment in a business operations support centre within Cambodia. The revelation surfaced during a high-profile meeting between Samdech Hun Manet, Cambodia’s Prime Minister, and Mr. Arj Samarakoon, the Executive Director and Founder of Plus94 Fund. This discussion transpired on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit held in Melbourne, Australia.

Plus94 Fund, operating across 14 countries worldwide with a robust workforce of 5,000 professionals, specialises in providing comprehensive consulting services and business operations support, including call centres and data management services.

Mr. Arj Samarakoon conveyed the fund’s keen interest in establishing a business operations support service centre in Cambodia. This interest was piqued after the company conducted a thorough exploration of the country’s competitive advantages, citing factors such as cost-effective labour, a skilled workforce proficient in foreign languages, and robust infrastructure.

In response, PM Manet expressed wholehearted support for the prospective investment, emphasising Cambodia’s commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce. Currently, the country is actively engaged in training approximately 1.5 million young individuals in vocational skills, aiming to enhance their quality, capacity, and productivity to align with market demands and attract potential investors.

The premier encouraged the Plus94 Fund to collaborate with key Cambodian institutions, including the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. Such collaboration would facilitate seamless support and preparation for the fund’s envisioned investment plan in Cambodia.
