Cambodia-Vietnam to connect new tourist destinations by sea

Cambodia and Vietnam have approved an action plan to link tourist destinations by sea and build joint cruise packages as part of the South Sea Tourism Corridor Cooperation, especially the new sea route, Kampot Tourism Port and Tourism Port. Bai Vong.This is according to the third bilateral meeting on tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam on October 10, 2022.

In addition, the two sides approved a joint action plan on tourism cooperation 2023-2024, focusing on six other key activities, including:

1) – Strengthen travel and border facilitation
2) – Dissemination and joint market study under the theme “Two countries, one goal”
3) – Sharing experiences and information
4) Development and connection of tourism products between the two countries, such as sharing experiences to the development of agro-tourism, focusing on flower and horticulture and other new tourism products in Mondul province. 5) Promote sports tourism events such as golf, cycling, beach sports, and water sports every year in both countries.
6) – Together promote food tourism.

According to the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, the growth of Vietnamese tourists to Cambodia has increased significantly, with the first eight months of 2022, about 240,000 Vietnamese tourists came to visit Cambodia, an increase of more than 3,000%. Will be the same period in 2021.
