Cambodia’s First Latter-Day Saints Temple Set to Break Ground Next Month in Phnom Penh

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that the Phnom Penh Cambodia Temple groundbreaking will be held on Saturday 18 September 2021.

Having white walls and five stupas on top, one is which is the tallest, the single-story temple of approximately 10,000 square feet (304sqm) will be built on a 3.16-acre site.

Located on Russian Confederation Street, the temple will be sited between the Cambodia Institute of Technology and the Institute of Foreign Languages near the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

The Phnom Penh Cambodia Temple will be the church’s first temple in that country.
