CDC Approves Construction of Five New Factories Valued at US$35.3M in Three Provinces & Phnom Penh

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to five companies for the establishment of new factories, with a combined investment of US$35.3 million. These ventures are expected to generate 8,761 job opportunities for residents in Takeo, Kampong Speu, Kandal, and Phnom Penh, according to the CDC on 30 November 2023.

The five companies are as follows:

  1. XIN ANG SHOES (CAMBODIA) MANUFACTURING CO., LTD: Investing US$13.3 million, this company will establish a shoe and shoe accessories factory in Trapeang Thleung 3 Village, Sangkat Choam Chao I, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh, creating 4,370 jobs.
  2. NEW HUICHEN (CAMBODIA) TEXTILE CO., LTD: With an investment of US$5.8 million, this firm will set up a garment and sewing factory at Lot 499, Street 126, Stok village, Komara Chea commune, Bati district, Takeo province, providing 1,896 jobs.
  3. SIN-TIANCHENG WADDING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: Investing US$5.6 million, this company will establish a garment factory in Prey Toteung village, Preah Nipvan commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province, with 238 job opportunities.
  4. XING KUN DA LEATHER INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD: With an investment of US$5.2 million, this firm will establish a factory producing various kinds of bags in Prey Tum Poung village, Peuk commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province, creating 790 jobs.
  5. GOLDEN VESSEL (CAMBODIA) ELECTRONIC AND LIGHTING CO., LTD: Investing US$5.4 million, this company will build a factory producing various light bulbs at km 69, National Road 2, Prey Prohm village, Sangkat Rokar Knoung, Daun Keo city, Takeo province, with 467 job opportunities.
