CDC approves three major development projects worth over US$160 million

The Cambodian government, through the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has recently given permits to three firms to invest a total of US$160 million in establishing a factory, a hospital, and a 3-star hotel in Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanoukville respectively.

The first project is an investment of approximately US$7.7 million by JINTEK CELLS TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD in constructing a factory and manufacturing and assembling solar panels. The project is located in Prey Sala village, Kakab commune, Pou Senchey district, Phnom Penh and will create 348 jobs for local people.

The second project is an investment of approximately US$59.2 million by XIGANGYIHAO INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT CO., LTD in constructing a 3-star hotel with 720 rooms located in 1 Village, 3 Commune, Preah Sihanoukville District, Preah Sihanoukville. This project will generate 660 jobs for local people.

The third project is a US$96.1 million multi-service hospital development project located at No 5, St.81, 10 Village, Boeng Reang Commune, Daun Penh, Phnom Penh; invested in by SING-SPECIALISTS MEDICAL CENTRE CO., LTD. According to the CDC, this project will provide 433 jobs for local people.

In February, the CDC also had approved a new US$61.3 million five-star hotel and commercial center in Sihanoukville. (Read more)

Also related to health services, the Prestige Hospital, a world-class hospital facility worth US$7 million opened on 30 March 2020 to provide international standard health care services to Cambodians. The Prestige Hospital is located in Sangkat Tonle Bassac Khan Chomkamorn, Phnom Penh with a 100-bed capacity. (Read more)
