World-class hospital worth US$7 million opens in Cambodia

The Prestige Hospital, a world-class facility worth US$7 million opened on 30 March 2020 to provide international standard health care services to Cambodians.

This international standard hospital brings service, standard and affordability to Cambodian people as its core principle. According to Dr Tay Christopher, CEO of The Prestige Hospital, the service is now up to Singaporean standard, but the cost is acceptable to Cambodian people because it is lower than the cost of hospitals of the same standard in Singapore.

Dr Christopher explained that “This hospital brings international and Singapore standard healthcare service to Cambodia delivered by the best quality doctors and nurses using the latest equipment and the best available technology .”

Dr Tay Christopher optimistically expressed his commitment that, through arduous collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other healthcare partners, The Prestige Hospital will provide a remarkable contribution to enhance the quality of healthcare service in the country.

With regard to the novel COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia, Dr. Christopher added, “The Prestige Hospital will collaborate with other hospitals even though this hospital is not yet approved by the Ministry of Health to welcome COVID-19 patients.”

The Prestige Hospital is located in Sangkat Tonle Bassac Khan Chomkamorn, Phnom Penh with a 100-bed capacity and was approved by The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on 31 July 2019. For this initial stage, the hospital is open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. (Read more)
