Chinese Firm Builds Asphalt Processing Factory Exclusively for PP-SHV Expressway Construction

The Chinese firm responsible for constructing Cambodia’s first expressway has recently built a new factory processing modified asphalt (known as SBS) to supply the entire pavement work of the expressway project that requires a total of over 53,000 tons of asphalt.

According to the official Facebook page on 12 July, the factory is capable of processing high-standard and professional modified asphalt to ensure the durability of the road.

Besides setting up a factory, the firm will also continue to bring new construction materials and technologies to Cambodia, not only to improve the quality of the expressway but also to promote technological innovation within Cambodia’s infrastructure development sector.

As of June, the construction of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway reached 55% and is set for final completion by September 2022, six months ahead of schedule. (Read more)
