Chom Chao flyover and underpass construction 40% completed

The Chom Chao flyover and underpass construction are 40% completed after being started in June 2018. Construction is expected to finish before the end of 2021.

Mr Sam Piseth, Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport, reported that “The construction of this project is almost completed. So far, we have finished two underground tunnels, two underpasses, and we are expending two sides of the road at the point of development.”

“Experts are working hard to complete this project as planned,” he added.

Notably, the project is costing approximately US$22 million, with construction being undertaken by the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC).

After completion, the Chom Chao flyover will be the sixth flyover in the capital after Psar Dey Huy, Kbal Thnal, Stueng Mean Chey, 7 Makara, and 5 Makara. (Read more)
