Construction of PP-SHV Expressway 49% Complete

As of early May, construction of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway project is approximately 49% complete, according to Ministry of Public Works and Transport spokesman Heang Sotheayuth

Mr Sotheayuth posted on his Facebook account on Thursday 13 May that the project has been going smoothly besides lockdown and the surge in the community outbreak.

To date, the pavement work is already underway. The road is being paved with durable asphalt concrete or known as ATB-25, and the actual pavement has begun after the engineers completed the test segment in March.

Construction project of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway began on 22 March 2019. This 190-kilometre road is being built by Cambodian PPSHV Expressway Co., Ltd. and will take 48 months to complete. (Read more)
