7-Eleven Sets Ambitious Plan to Expand with 40 New Branches in Cambodia by the End of 2023

Leading convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, operated by CP All, has unveiled an ambitious plan to open 40 new branches in Cambodia by the close of 2023, aiming to reach a milestone of 100 branches in the country.

As reported by Thailand’s The Nation on 17th June, this expansion demonstrates 7-Eleven’s commitment to cater to Cambodia’s thriving consumer market and tap into the country’s impressive economic growth.

Having made its entry into the Cambodian market in August 2021 through its subsidiary CP ALL (Cambodia), CP All wasted no time in establishing the first 7-Eleven branch in Phnom Penh. The company has since witnessed remarkable progress, having successfully opened over 40 branches in Cambodia by 2022. As of April 2023, the convenience store chain had expanded its footprint to 60 branches across the country, reinforcing its position as a dominant player in the retail industry.

The Nation highlighted Cambodia’s flourishing economy, which, despite being smaller in scale compared to Thailand, is experiencing rapid growth and boasts a vibrant consumer market with increasing purchasing power. This fertile business landscape presents a lucrative opportunity for 7-Eleven to provide unparalleled convenience and access to a wide range of products, including popular Thai merchandise that resonates with local customers.

Strategically positioned in community areas, tourist destinations, educational institutions, and service stations, the 7-Eleven branches offer unparalleled convenience to both local residents and visitors. The support from Cambodian customers has been exceptional, with numerous branches attracting a loyal customer base of over 1,000 consumers. The success of 7-Eleven in Cambodia can be attributed to its ability to cater to diverse needs, offer quality products, and create a seamless shopping experience.

As the convenience store chain continues to expand its presence and solidify its position in Cambodia, it is set to play a significant role in meeting the evolving needs of consumers while fostering economic growth and job creation in the country.
