Gov’t to Allocate Approx. 2,000 Hectares to Low-income Veterans in Kompong Thom

The Kampong Thom administration is working on dividing approximately 2,000 hectares of state land in Trapeang Ruessei village in Santuk district into small plots, to distribute to low-income veterans.

Kampong Thom Governor Sok Lou said during a site inspection on 02 February that the land plots will only be given to veterans and low-income locals who have no decent housing. Meanwhile, the land allocation procedure will be done through lucky draws.

“So far, there have been many illegal encroachments on that plot of state land. We will soon claim it back by setting clear boundaries and dividing them into small plots before giving it to the targeted groups,” said HE Lou.

HE Sok Lou also vowed to complete the task as soon as possible to put an end to illegal land encroachment and help provide decent land plots for veterans.
