Ground Broken on Chinese-Funded Auditorium Building at Cambodia’s Army Institute

The construction of a China-funded 5-storey auditorium building at the Cambodian Royal Army Institute in Phnom Sruoch district in Kampong Speu province has officially begun.

The ground-breaking ceremony was held on 28 March by General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and Colonel Zhu Shuaifei, Deputy Military Attaché of the Chinese Embassy to Cambodia.

General Vong Pisen said this newly constructed building will respond to Cambodia’s need for a better military training facility.

“When complete, it will be an important building for training human resources in national defence,” he added.
