Vinci Construction and SUEZ present feasibility study for urban solid waste treatment and sustainable energy production

A delegation from Vinci Construction and SUEZ Company recently met with Cambodian government officials to present a feasibility study for a proposed waste recycling park. The project focuses on selecting advanced technologies for the treatment of urban solid waste and the efficient production of renewable energy.

The meeting took place on February 12, 2026, and was presided over by His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). The visiting delegation was led by Mr. Thomas Chauveau, Director of Energy Operations and New Business at Vinci Construction.

During the presentation, the two companies shared detailed findings from their joint feasibility study. The experts provided essential data regarding waste collection, current project updates, and the specific technological solutions proposed to transform the city’s solid waste into a viable energy source. This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing Cambodia’s urban environmental management and diversifying its sustainable energy portfolio.
